Accessibility as standard
At Socie, our mission is to connect people.
A strong community is an inclusive community. Therefore, we believe it is essential that our platform is usable by everyone, regardless of visual or physical impairment.
We design our software according to international accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2, Level AA) and thus comply with the legal frameworks of the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
How we make the app accessible:
Accessibility is an integral part of our design and development process. We focus on the following points:

1. Visual support and readability.
Meantime texts:
Are you using a larger font on your device? Our app moves with you. We take the layout into account in the design so that the app remains fully usable even with a large font size (font-size).
High contrast:
We maintain strict standards for the contrast between text and background. As a result, information is always sharp and clearly legible.
Clear navigation:
In our menus we use icons that change shape. A default icon (‘Regular’) becomes ‘Solid’ (filled) as soon as an item is selected. This allows you to see at a glance where you are.
2. Technology and tools
Screen readers:
All our screens offer full support for read-aloud software, including VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android), as standard.
Focus indicators:
For users navigating with a keyboard or an external tool, we provide a clear “focus. You can always see which element on the screen is currently selected.
3. Ease of use and peace of mind
Simplicity:

Navigation and buttons are in logical, fixed locations, providing a calm user experience for everyone.

The digital world never stands still. Accessibility requirements are the starting point for every new screen and update we build. We conduct regular internal audits to ensure that we are meeting the WCAG 2.1 AA standard continue to meet.
