A common Socie functionality is adding additional profile information to member profiles. This allows you to add community-specific fields in addition to the standard profile fields. Members can add and or modify these additional fields.
Examples of additional fields:
- Linkedin profiles at networking organizations
- Apartment numbers in buildings
- Specialties of staff or community members
- Interests
- Hobbies
- etc.
Adding additional fields to profiles
Log in to the community manager. Click on Members in the menu on the left. Click More and then Settings in the upper right. Scroll down and click Edit in the Additional Fields subsection. You can now add additional fields by clicking Add Additional Field. Click Save.
If set, members can now complete this profile information in the app through their profile.
Tip: Are you working with multiple Extra fields? Then simply drag them up or down to determine the order on the profile in the app.
Show additional fields in the member list
Attention! Er is also a possibility to display this additional profile information in the member list as a subtitle. This can then also be searched for by other members.
Selecting an additional field for display in the member list
By default, Socie shows the address information as a member’s subtitle in the member list.
It is possible to change this subtitle. This subtitle is then shown in the member list but also, for example, as an extra field when signing up for activities and events.
Modify subtitle of member
Log in to the community manager. Click on Members in the menu on the left. Click More and then Settings in the upper right. Click Edit in the first subsection. You can now control what information is displayed as the member’s subtitle. Click on Tools. Choose the desired field. Click Save.
