New: Socie Taken, the Taken app for everyone!
Whether it’s pouring coffee, organizing a BBQ, working a bar shift, tasks around a big event, first aid, a task at work or running errands. There are an awful lot of small and large tasks that can be picked up.
Many times it is the same people who perform tasks while there are many people willing to do something for someone else for once.
Matching supply & demand easily
That’s why we are introducing Socie Taken. With this module we easily bring supply and demand together. Everyone can be a volunteer (for a while). Relevance plays an important role and the module is specifically aimed at members who want to do something, but do not want to be tied down to anything.
Relevance makes for better matches
Socie Tasks displays tasks within your areas of interest and you choose if and when to complete the task. You can easily filter out tasks that do not fall within your interests.

With a tasks app you can help and support each other
We live in a society where sometimes we want and need to help each other. With the Socie app, you can inform, create interaction and offer simplicity.
Socie tasks brings all these things together. With this tasks app, people can help each other even easier, tasks are clearly highlighted and asking for help becomes easier.

Free to register, invite or schedule, it’s all possible
To make Socie tasks a successful tasks app, you can ensure tasks are picked up in several ways. For example, you can “offer” the task to the community who can then subscribe to the task.
But that’s not all. As a task owner, you can also invite people to perform the task or schedule them yourself if you have already spoken to this person, for example.
6 factors for a successful Tasks app
After extensive research among various audiences, we investigated what are success factors of software and apps to schedule tasks. Both from the perspective of the person doing the task and the person who wants the task done. From this, a number of very important factors emerged, namely:
- People do not like to be stuck with (recurring) tasks
- People want to see relevant tasks and not tasks they are not interested in or cannot do
- There are those who want to be able to post and schedule many different tasks, as well as those who are looking for one-time help
- Some people want to be scheduled, others want to enroll themselves
- Overview for task owners around tasks is very important.
- Task owners want to be able to schedule people themselves or have the system do a pre-schedule
Based on this research, prototypes were developed and extensively tested. These were further developed into the Socie task module.
What can Socie Taken do?
Socie Tasks allows community administrators and members to create tasks and “volunteers” can sign up/subscribe. These can be tasks for the community, such as your sports club or a church, or tasks for a person or group that could use a little help. Also consider tasks you want done within your project groups or those that need to be done in preparation for an activity.

Use the tasks module in your existing Socie community or create your own Tasks app
Socie’s tasks module can be integrated within your existing Socie app or you can deploy it separately as a separate Socie Tasks App. Either way, you’re going to benefit from its many features and, again, keep everything around your community within the Socie app.
Some examples of how the module is integrated:
- Please indicate in your profile the type of tasks you are interested in
- Tasks are given a fixed and recognizable place in the app
- You can see which other volunteers have already signed up

Relevance, convenience and overview
Volunteer Profile
The Socie task module focuses on relevance, convenience and overview. We create relevance by matching tasks to interests and profiles.
Each member can specify their own interests and what requirements they meet.
That way, you will only be presented with tasks you can actually do or want to do.

Greater insight
In addition, it will be incredibly easy to create a task and be able to see who has volunteered. You choose who gets to create tasks in the app: administrators, a particular group or all members.
You can also easily assign people to a task as task owners. In addition, the app will start alerting you to tasks that are coming up soon but do not yet have enough volunteers.
Of course, the app provides clear overviews around the tasks that are open and tasks that have been assigned to you. You can also easily see in the app who the other volunteers are if a task is being performed by several people.
