New to Socie community management: enhanced security, privacy and member management
At Socie, we are constantly working on improvements to make community management easier, safer and more efficient. In this update, we introduce a number of new features that contribute to a better user experience for community administrators and members. Find out what’s new!

Enhanced security and privacy
Making two-factor authentication mandatory for administrators
We previously introduced the ability to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) by community administrator. With this update, administrators can choose to make 2FA mandatory for all community administrators. This increases the security of your community and further protects sensitive data.
Understanding member privacy settings
Members control what data they share within the community. This could sometimes lead to questions, for example if a member was not visible at an event. From now on, community administrators can see which privacy settings a member has chosen, including which data – such as a profile picture – is shielded.
Expanded membership management capabilities
Multiple member links possible at the same time
Previously it was only possible to use one member link, but that’s a thing of the past! You can now import members from multiple sources at the same time. In addition, it is possible to create a combination of a member link and manual additions. This gives administrators more flexibility in managing their community.
Search by subtitle (additional field or address)
Searching members in the community administration is now even easier. From now on, you can search not only by name, but also by subtitle such as additional field or address. This makes it faster and easier to find the right members.
Export specific fields when exporting members (AVG-proof)
When exporting member data, you can now choose which fields you want to export. This is useful if, for example, you only need e-mail addresses. Moreover, this functionality contributes to a more secure and targeted handling of personal data in line with AVG guidelines.
General improvements
Play videos directly in community management
In this update, we have optimized video playback in management. Administrators can now view videos directly without leaving the management environment. This makes it easier to review and manage content.
